"If one falls down, his friend can pick him up. But pity
the man who falls and has no-one to help him up."
Ecclesiastes 4:10
A weekend with the Lionhearts team can be a significant milestone, but it can only be part of your story. The challenge begins once you return home, for we all know how quickly initial enthusiasm can fade. Lionhearts believe that the key to your new adventure lies with your brothers. Together with a 'band of brothers' you can achieve so much more.
We hope that the main message you are left with at the end of your weekend with us is that God never meant for you to run the race and battles of life alone and we need the encouragement and support of others. Because of this, Lionhearts are encouraging men to form their own small groups.
These are intended to be places where true, honest and accountable friendships can develop. Where men feel able to take off their masks and be real without the pressure of feeling they having to perform and be perfect. Where men can share their worries and temptations in a safe and confidential environment knowing they will be supported and also will support their brothers. With this support they can discuss, seek and pray for purpose, courage and friendship, helping men to dare to be what God's called them to be. Lionhearts aims to maintain contact with your small groups using the web as well as providing you with the downloadable resources opposite (access via password provided on your weekend).
How to get goingThis model represents a suggested course of action for a group of men to follow after they have attended a Lionhearts residential weekend in order to establish their small 'band of brothers' group. |
