Lionhearts offers both church based and residential weekend programmes. Our aim is to provide men a break from their busy lives where they will receive thought provoking spiritual input and discussion, shared recreational activities, good food and time for reflection.
We can either come to you, utilising your church venue and facilities, or you can join us for a weekend in the hills in Wales or the Peak District, the choice is yours.
For the residential option we can either organize a weekend especially for your men's group or you can join with men from other churches on our open weekends. Ideally, we encourage you to attend with a few other men from your church. This helps you to build on your shared experiences when you return home. However, coming on your own has its benefits too.
The overarching message men are left with at the end of a weekend away is that God never meant for them to run the race of life alone. With this in mind, Lionhearts are encouraging men to form their own small groups, bands of brothers. The idea is that the relationships formed there will provide the support and encouragement they need to fight their battles and live the adventure as God intended. Lionhearts will maintain contact with the small groups using our blog site as well as providing downloadable resource materials.
Further weekend programmes are currently being developed to provide further opportunities to find space and time to refocus on God as well as ongoing input.
