Term and conditions

  1. Bookings:
    Provisional bookings can be made by phone but can only be held for a maximum of 14 days until a non-refundable 20% deposit is received. All bookings must be accompanied by a non-refundable deposit of 20%, except for bookings made less than six weeks before the start of a Lionhearts weekend / event which must be accompanied by the full payment. The balance of fees is payable six weeks before the start of the weekend / event. If this balance is not paid by this date, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and retain any deposit paid. Confirmation of booking will follow receipt of a completed and signed booking form and payment of a non-refundable deposit.
  2. Cancellation:
    In the event of cancellation by you the deposit will be forfeited. If you cancel within six weeks of the start of your chosen weekend the following scale of cancellation charges will apply: No refunds can be made in respect of weekends booked but not attended. If Lionhearts cancels (other than for a failure by you to pay fees on time), all monies paid will be refunded in full. Lionhearts' liability in such a case is only for money paid.
    4-6 weeks : 50% of full fees
    2-4 weeks : 75% of full fees
    0-2 weeks : full fees
  3. Cost: Lionhearts weekend prices are all inclusive (e.g. full board and accommodation plus instructed activities and VAT).
  4. Insurance:
    Personal insurance is not included and individuals are advised to organise their own cover separately. Activity providers carry their own insurance for liabilities connected with the activities. Lionhearts has Employers / Employees Liability Insurance and Public Liability Insurance. Lionhearts assumes no liability for injury or death, damage to or loss of personal property, accident, delay, cancellation, irregularity or inconvenience caused, save where such loss is caused or contributed to by the negligence of some person acting as a servant or agent of Lionhearts. Lionhearts cannot accept liability for damage to or loss of personal property and individuals / groups are advised not to bring items of value with them.
  5. Complaints:
    Every effort will be made to deal with problems or complaints on site by your weekend hosts. If an agreement cannot be reached, complaints should be referred to the Lionhearts manager (Rob Dean) and if you are still not satisfied, the Board of Trustees.     Caveat note: Lionhearts weekends involve outdoor activities provided by qualified conference venue instructional staff or third party activity provider. Outdoor activities by their nature can be strenuous and involve an element of risk.
